Educational Scholarships and Benefits

Institutional Scholarships

UTH Florida University offers institutional scholarship programs for students who qualify under the criteria established in the University’s internal financial assistance policies. These programs are subject to availability and may represent a reduction ranging from 10% to 50% of published tuition costs. The University reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any scholarship or institutional benefit program at any time without prior notice.

Program Name Who Qualifies? *
Economic Need ScholarshipIntended for students who demonstrate financial need. Applicable to residents in Latin America with monthly household income below the equivalent of US$500, or residents in the United States with monthly household income below US$2,000.
Academic Merit ScholarshipAvailable for students with outstanding academic performance. Graduate programs require a minimum average between 85% and 95%, while undergraduate programs require a minimum average between 80% and 90%.
UTH Florida University Alumni ScholarshipExclusive benefit for graduates of UTH Florida University. Graduate programs require a minimum GPA between 3.0 and 3.5, while undergraduate programs require a minimum GPA between 2.5 and 3.0.
Interuniversity Agreement ScholarshipAvailable for new incoming students graduating from academic institutions that maintain an active agreement with UTH Florida University.
Corporate Agreement BenefitApplicable to employees of companies with active agreements with UTH Florida University. Benefits and requirements will depend on the conditions established in each agreement.

*The criteria described above represent the minimum eligibility requirements. Approval and awarded percentages are subject to a comprehensive academic, financial, and administrative evaluation conducted by UTH Florida University.

The renewal of institutional scholarships and benefits is subject to annual review and continued compliance with current institutional policies. To maintain eligibility, students must:

  • Submit supporting documentation when required.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate programs and 3.0 for graduate programs.
  • Comply with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policies.
  • Participate in at least five (5) of the six (6) annual academic terms.
  • Remain current with all financial obligations to the University.

Scholarships and benefits apply exclusively to tuition costs and do not cover registration fees, technology fees, or other administrative charges. Failure to comply with institutional policies, academic inactivity, or disciplinary violations may result in the suspension or cancellation of the awarded benefit.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Education Benefits

UTH Florida University is approved for Veterans training by the Florida State Approving Agency (SAA).

VA Education Benefits help eligible Veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and qualified family members pursue higher education and career training by assisting with expenses such as tuition, housing, books, and other educational costs.

Our institution is committed to supporting military-connected students throughout the enrollment and certification process.

How to Use VA Education Benefits at UTH Florida University

  1. Prospective students should contact UTH Florida University to obtain information about available academic programs and admissions requirements
  2. Students must apply for VA Education Benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website: https://www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply/
  3. Once eligibility is determined, the VA will issue a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) indicating the approved benefit chapter and entitlement percentage
  4. Students must submit the COE and any additional required documentation to UTH Florida University
  5. The School Certifying Official (SCO) will review the student’s enrollment and submit the certification to the VA
  6. The VA will process the enrollment certification and issue eligible payments directly to the student and/or the institution, depending on the benefit chapter

VA Pending Payment Compliance

In accordance with Title 38 US Code § 3679 subsection (e), this school adopts the following additional provisions for any students using U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Post 9/11 G.I. Bill® (Ch. 33) or Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (Ch. 31) benefits, while payment to the institution is pending from the VA. This school will not:

  • Prevent the student’s enrollment;
  • Assess a late penalty fee to the student;
  • Require the student to secure alternative or additional funding;
  • Deny the student access to any resources (access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities) available to other students who have satisfied their tuition and fee bills to the institution.

However, to qualify for this provision, such students will be required to:

  • Provide the enrolling institution with a copy of his/her VA Certification of Eligibility (COE) – A “certificate of eligibility” can also include a “Statement of Benefits” obtained from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) website; eBenefits; or a VAF 28-1905 form, for chapter 31 authorization purposes.

Additional criteria to qualify for this provision are also required for such students and listed below:

  • Submit any additional documentation required to properly certify enrollment in accordance with institutional policies.
